Producer M S Reddy’s latest autobiography ‘Idhee Naa Katha’ ran into controversy even before its release. The controversy erupted as the contents of the book leaked to the media and there were open discussions on the way he addressed the responses of Jr NTR as well as director Gunasekhar.
The book carried a narration of an incidence where in Jr NTR did not oblige MS Reddy as promised to do his first film as a hero. M S Reddy claimed to have introduced Jr NTR through ‘Bala Ramayanam’ and was pretty confident that NTR’s first film would be under his banner. Whereas he claims to have felt disappointed seeing Jr NTR doing as many as 9 films under different banners. He also narrates NTR’s curt reaction for asking him to wait for a few minutes to facilitate M S Reddy talking to Subba Ramireddy. Similarly Gunasekhar also is under fire with M S Reddy claiming that Gunasekhar did not oblige as promised to do the film ‘Okkadu’ with Mahesh Babu and Bhumika under his banner, instead did under M S Raju’s banner.
Though there are counters from Gunasekhar the book has been printed without any corrections. Not stopping with this there are comments on Sr NTR as well as Dr Rajasekhar which did not go well among the film circle. M S Reddy’s son, Shyam Prasad Reddy chipped in to control the damage by not allowing the distribution of books written by his father. Thus the books are now off the shelf and its not clear when the real sale will begin. It is very unfortunate.
