Tamil super star Ajith is playing a key role in Sridevi’s forthcoming film ‘English Vinglish’ which was done by Amitabh Bachchan in Hindi version. Writer cum director Gauri Shinde and producer R Balki offered their special thanks to Ajith for agreeing to be part of the film despite his tight schedules.
According to them, Ajith agreed to play the special role in the film only because he is a big fan of Sridevi and Amitabh Bachchan as well. “Ajith came to Mumbai, drove straight to the shooting location in his own car and participated in the shooting for 12 long hours wearing his own costumes. Everyone was very impressed with the simplicity and his sweet nature. While Ajith is a big fan of Sridevi and Amitabh Bachchan, the entire unit members became fans of Ajith after he left the shooting spot. The Telugu and Tamil versions will see Ajith in special role which would be a big highlight. This is also good news to Ajith’s fans as well as Sridevi’s fans. ‘English Vinglish’ is scheduled for release on October 5th in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi languages”, they added.
Eros International Media Ltd., will release the film across India. ‘English Vinglish’ is Sridevi’s comeback film after 14 years sabbatical. Other prominent stars include Mehdi Nebbou, Adil Hussain, Priya Anand, and others. Amitabh Bachchan will give guest appearance in Hindi version, while Ajith will do the same in Tamil and Telugu versions.
