Item girl Alphonsa, who shot to fame with the song ‘Ra Ra Rammaiah’ in Rajnikanth’s ‘Basha’, tried to end her life by taking overdose of sleeping pills but is out of danger now. The depressed actress attempted suicide after knowing about her lover Vinod Kumar hanging from the fan at her apartment at Saligramam. This is her second suicide attempt.
This sought-after item girl got separated from her husband Nobel a few months back and later got involved in a live-in relationship with Vinod Kumar in the name of love. After a huge quarrel took place between Alphonsa and Vinod on Sunday night regarding their relationship, Vinod hung himself from the ceiling of their bedroom in Saligramam. It’s learnt that Vinod hung himself after the actress refursed to marry him even after him insisting on marriage. The actress immediately informed Virumbbakam police about the incident and tried to end her life too. However, she was saved by the doctors of Vijaya hospital in Vadapalani, Chennai.
Vinod’s father claims that Alphonsa and her family murdered him and are trying to make it look like suicide. Hence he urged the police to take series action and proceed further with the investigation. According to Virumbakkam police Alphonsa consumed sleeping pills fearing the arrest.
