Ravi Teja and Taapsee starrer ‘Daruvu’ has released in theaters worldwide today. The film is directed by Siva and produced by Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna. As part of film promotion the producer organised a press meet just before the film release and spoke a few words about it. Here are few excerpts:
Producer Burugupalli Sivaramakrishna said, “Daruvu is going to be different film Ravi Teja’s career. This movie with a little bit of political touch is quite contrast to the ones he did till now. There is tremendous response for this title. It’s aptly suitable one for the hero’s character.”
About director Siva he opinied: “I know Siva right from the time he was an assistant cameraman. He had earlier worked for films like ‘Premante Idhera’, ‘Sriram’, and Tamil version of ‘Bhadri’. I was impressed with his story narration, hence decided to start the film immediately.”
When asked why he gave a huge gap to produce films he answered, “There were various reasons why we did not produce films for quite some time. Even now we have decided to make this film only because of Siva’s unique storyline and screenplay. Although many films on Yamalokham backdrop have come in the past, our film will showcase a different screenplay on the same backdrop. Siva introduced the concept of next generation in Yamalokham. Prabhu will be seen as young Yama.”
About Raviteja’s role he commented, “Raviteja will thrill the audience in five different get-ups. He is the most comfortable hero to work with.”
About music he said, “Vijay Antony’s music has already reached the Telugu music and film lovers across the world.”
The producer concluded the press meet saying, “We are planning to produce films in a row. However, we are searching for good scripts. We are all indeed making efforts to create a channel called ‘Chitraseema’ that strengthens the Telugu film industry. In this line I will give my best to do whatever I can for the welfare of film industry.”
