South Indian International Movie Awards 2011 (SIIMA), the first ever is going to be held on June 21 and 22 in Dubai. These awards will be given away to the best technicians and artists from the south Indian language films like Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada. Vishnuvardhan Induri who established SIIMA spoke to the media on Monday. He said, “The jury members will select the nominees from all 24 crafts and from that list the film-lovers will select the award winners through voting system.

Lakshmi Prasanna will be hosing the award function in Dubai. Among the many highlights of the event, are the dance performances by Sameera Reddy, Shruti Haasan, Hansika, Charmi, Amala Paul, etc. There will also be special screening of forthcoming crazy films in South India.” He concluded saying that they are going to start collecting funds in the name of SIIMA for the education of 25 poor children.
