Nayantara is still on the top heroines list and K-town sources say that the diva is set to groove on more entertaining and enthralling item numbers for her fans. Kollywood reports say that Nayan has given her nod to perform an item song in ‘Ethir Neechal’ alongside Dhanush who is also making a guest appearance in the film. Shooting has already begun few days ago. Senthil is directing the film featuring Siva Karthikeyan and Priya Anand in the lead. Anirudh of ‘Kolaveri Di..’ fame is composing the music. On the other hand, sources also reveal that she had rejected when Bollywood filmmaker Rohit Shetty approached her to do the same in his film ‘Chennai Express’ couple of months ago. But it looks like she has changed her mind later as vows are always made to be broken as per the need.
After ‘Sri Ramarajyam’, Nayan has been very choosy in doing films. Although Nayan performed an item number earlier in Vijay-Asin starrer ‘Sivakasi’, this is her first ever item song in her career after playing a devotional role like ‘Sita’ in ‘Sri Ramarajyam’. In Telugu, she did ‘Krishnam Vande Jagadgurum’ last year and now ‘Grreku Veerudu’ costarring Nag is scheduled for April 26 release.
