Ramalakshmi Cine Creations, ‘Potugadu’ featuring Manoj Kumar, Sakshi Chowdary,
Simran Kaur Mundi, Rachael Vees and Anu Priyanka Ghoyanka recently opened to theaters with success talk. This Kannada remake version was directed by Pavan Wadeyar and jointly produced by Lagadapati Sireesha and Lagadapati Sridhar. On the eve of the film running in theaters successfully, the film unit organised a success meet on Monday in Hyderabad. Posani Krishna Murali, Multi-dimension Vasu, Kasi Vishwanath, Sakshi Chowdary, Anupriya Ghoyanka, Tagubothu Ramesh, Srinivasa Reddy, Lagadapati Sireesha, Lagadapati Sridhar and other unit members participated.
Posani Krishna Murali said, “Sridhar made ‘Potugadu’ without any connection with politics or political parties. Hence he was able to see the box-office success of his film. Those who watched the film are showering praises. I did a very good role in this film after ‘Naayak’. The director handled it very well. Music and camera work needs special mention.”
Multi-dimension Vasu said, “Potugadu released in about 600 theaters and running with success talk. The collections on 2nd day of this film are on par with Manoj’s previous films’ overall collections. The film good craze at overseas too.”
Kasi Vishwanath said, “The movie was released in several theaters. Collections are good even at the present situation in the state. Sridhar is a passionate producer. This movie will be a plus to Manoj’s career.”
Srinivasa Reddy said, “This film received an energetic talk. It has become successful and earned a good name to Manoj. I wish the film to become the biggest hit.”
Thagubotu Ramesh said, “Potugadu is my second film on this banner. Everyone is appreciating my role even though it’s very short.”
Lagadapati Sridhar said, “I made this film only by trusting the artists. Similarly the distributors bought this film by trusting me. So this success is based on our belief in the film.”
Sireesha said, “Potugadu turned into as big film as ‘Evadigola Vadidhi’. Pawan Wadeyar met Sridhar exactly during the time we were looking forward to a film of that genre. We are very happy for starting the project immediately and also seeing its success. ‘Potugadu’ is in no way less when compared to ‘Evadigola Vadidhi’.”
