The 27th prestigious Bharata Muni Film Awards would be presented on December 4th. Naresh has been selected for the prestigious Bharata Muni Film Awards as a Best Artist for his performance in ‘Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu’ film. Sri Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu, who is widely known as the father of Telugu cinema, laid foundation stone for Indian Cinema. ‘Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu’ film was made on the basis of his life story. Senoir actor Naresh played the title role. The film which received appreciations from critics was produced by Sathish Babu on Yollow Line Pictures banner with Babji as director. Naresh, who won the hearts of Telugu audience by playing variety roles, was starred in over 150 films. Not just as hero, his lady getup in ‘Chitram Bhalare Vichitram’ was a sensational hit. He entertained us by playing as Narada in several films. Meanwhile, his role in ‘Mee Sreyobhilashi’ is unforgettable. His other notable works include recent hits like ‘Dhrushyam’ and ‘Chandamama Kathalu’. Even though, he is busy as senior artist, he wanted to do at least one film like ‘Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu’ for a year. This Award function will be held on Sunday i.e. on 14th of December at Potti Seeramulu Viswavidhyalayam in Hyderabad.
On this occasion, Naresh expressed, “‘Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu’ film will stand out as a special film in the history of Telugu Cinema. It would be the milestone film for the coming generation. I came to know the greatness of him when my mother Vijaya Niramala received Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu Award. At first we thought to do this as a documentary. But, since we could not show his greatness with documentary, we made it as a film. The film received lot of appreciations. I’m thankful to the director Babji and producer Sathish Babu for making such a wonderful film. I’m very happy to be selected for the prestigious Bharata Muni Film Awards as a Best Artist.”
