Uday Kiran, the heart-throd of millions of girls a decade ago is no more. This is a shocking news to the entire industry. Uday Kiran committed suicide by hanging himself at 12.15 PM on Sunday night (January 6, 2014) in his rental flat at Srinagar colony in Hyderabad. Police is investigating the cause for his suicide. His last call was at 10 PM to Chennai. His body was shifted to Apollo hospital in Film Nagar for the post-mortem. His wife Vishitha reports him suffering financial downfall for the last one year.
Born on 26th June, 1980, the 33 year old actor was introduced to the film industry by filmmaker Teja through the film ‘Chitram’. Later he earned immense craze among the youth audience with films like ‘Nuvvu Nenu’, ‘Manasantha Nuvve’, ‘Kalasukovalani’ and ‘Nee Sneham’. Altogether he acted in 19 films – 16 in Telugu and 3 in Tamil. K Balachander introduced him to the Tamil industry through the film ‘Poi’ (Abaddam), produced by Prakash Raj under his banner Duet Movies. He is currently involved with one Telugu film and one Tamil film which are under production. Uday Kiran won the Filmfare Best Actor award for his performance in 2001 ‘Nuvvu Nenu’.
Uday Kiran married Vishitha on October 24, 2012. As per the police report, his last sms to his wife was 'I love you too!' According to the industry people, Uday Kiran is a good human being and a sensitive person. It’s very sad and unfortunate to note that the young actor tragically ended his life. :( May his soul rest in peace!
