The Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam remake rights of Kangana Raunat starrer Bollywood blockbuster movie ‘Queen’ was bagged by veteran actor cum filmmaker Thiagarajan. Since then rumors have been surfacing about the heroine of the film. So a press meet was held by the filmmaker Thiagarajan today (June 18) in Hyderabad to deny the rumors about the heroine.
Speaking at the press conference Thiagarajan said, “It has been rumored that either Kajal, Anushka or Tamannaah might essay the role of ‘Queen’ in the remake version. But we have not yet finalized the heroine. ‘Queen’ is a beautiful film. Therefore we are searching for a heroine with south nativity looks who can carry the character with great ease. We have Trisha in mind. But we will confirm it only after finalizing. I will also let you know who would be directing this remake. I do not mind if Prashanth wants to be part of the film. Right now he is busy with the Tamil remake of ‘Julayee’. One more film is in hand. This apart, I'm planning to do a Hindi film too. I’m currently working on ‘Jeans-2’.”
