Pavani Gangireddy, who appeared in films like ‘Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju’, recently released Sumanth Ashwin’s ‘Right Right’ and Mahesh Babu’s ‘Brahmotsavam’, has been roped into to play Goddess Bhoodevi in Nagarjuna’s forthcoming film ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’.
Apparently, the makers were very impressed by the acting of Pavani after the screen test and zeroed her in to play Bhoodevi. A source from the film unit says, “Pavani is very excited to transform into the character. Anushka is pairing up with Nagarjuna. Saurabh Raj Jain and Vimala Raman will play lord Venkateswara and Goddess Sridevi respectively and Pavani has been cast as Bhoodevi. Pragya Jaiswal is also playing an important female role. The film is being produced by Mahesh Reddy, who earlier produced Nagarjuna’s ‘Shirdi Sai. Rao Ramesh and Jagapathi Babu are also playing major roles.”
It is known to everyone that King Nagarjuna, who already proved his acting skills in devotional characters with the films like ‘Annamayya’, ‘Sri Ramadasu’ and ‘Shirdi Sai’, is once again getting ready to entertain fans with his upcoming devotional film ‘Om Namo Venkatesaya’. According to a source, the film will be launched officially by the end of June and the shooting will commence from the first week of July.
Nagarjuna is playing the devotee Hathi Ram Baba, who dedicated his life in service to Lord Venkateswara. K Raghavendra Rao will direct this film. MM Keeravani is composing the music. The combination of Raghavendra Rao, Nagarjuna and MM Keeravani has given wonderful devotional films.
