Music maestro Ilayaraja sent legal notice to veteran singer SP Balasubramanyam asking him not to sing the songs composed by him at various concerts without his consent. Reports suggests that few other popular singers also received the similar notice from the famous music composer Ilayaraja.
Veteran singer SP Balasubramanyam was served the notice when he was in US with his troupe for the SPB50 concert Tour. Therefore the singer took to his Facebook post to put further light into legality and proceedings. The singer claimed that he had received a legal notice from Music maestro Ilayaraja’s attorney for singing the songs composed by layaraja at musical performances. He is not going to perform Isaijnani’s compositions. The singer is going to present songs of other composers. His post reads, “Hope you all will bless our concerts as usual. I am grateful for your love and affection.”
He also urged music lovers and media persons not to make Ilayaraja-SBP issue sensational. His post reads, “It is unfortunate. That is all Show has to go on, life has to move on. In God’s creation all are good and equal. Thank you.”
