Recently, rumours are spreading like wildfire on social media that actor Sai Dharam Tej will be entering the wedlock with Niharika Konidela. The reports said that the duo had been seeing each other for a while, and that their family had given green signal to the relationship. There were rumours in that past too that Sai Dharam Tej used to visit the sets of Niharika’s debut film ‘Oka Manasu’. However, there is no official statement from either Sai Dharam Tej or Niharika or from their family members. Various publications have reported about them tying the knot which has turned out to be completely false.
Refuting these rumours, Sai Dharam Tej’s spokesperson said, “Sai Dharam Tej is upset and has condemned baseless rumours published by some media houses about his marriage with Niharika Konidela who is like his sister. He said they are like one family from childhood and bonding between them is like brother sister. He requested media houses to please cross check facts with official sources before publishing such sensitive news especially related to a girl. Such baseless stories will hurt sentiments.”
Sai Dharam Tej and Niharika Konidela are cousins. Sai Dharam Tej is Megastar Chiranjeevi’s nephew, while Niharika is Chiranjeevi’s brother Nagendra Babu’s daughter. At present Sai Dharam Tej is busy shooting a film titled ‘Jawaan’ directed by Gopichand Malineni which has Rakul Preet Singh as female lead. Niharika is making her debut in Tamil as a lead actress through a yet to be titled film.
