Icon Star Allu Arjun has filed a petition in the Andhra Pradesh High Court. In his petition, he has requested the court to quash a case filed against him in Nandyal during the recent election period (to be precise, in May). The bench has admitted the petition and will be hearing the case today.
The police had registered a case against Allu Arjun alleging that he had organized a public gathering without permission while Section 144 and Section 30 of the Police Act were in force.
Bunny was in Nandyal to campaign for the YSRCP candidate, who eventually lost the election. Thousands gathered to witness the actor standing in the balcony of the candidate's bungalow.
Allu Arjun's next theatrical release, 'Pushpa 2', has amassed excellent pre-release theatrical business deals in the Telugu States. The value of the deals is next only to that of 'RRR'. The Sukumar-directed sequel will head to theatres on December 6.
