After drawing flak with tax evasion case, another one has followed Amala Paul. South actress Amala Paul filed a complaint of sexual harassment reportedly against a Chennai based businessman on Wednesday i.e. on Jan 31. The incident took place while she was rehearsing for an upcoming event in Malaysia, at a dance studio in Chennai
Amala Paul reports to police that she was asked for a sexual favour by a man and he used vulgar language against her while she was rehearsing for an upcoming event. She added that she was shocked and felt humiliated and felt extremely unsafe after the episode and therefore decided to approach police.
When police enquired Amala about the man, she said, “I don’t know. However, I suspect the role of an insider connected to the event. He knew I was there at that time and I thought it was unsafe because I am an independent working women. Someone involved at the event has only given this information.”
Earlier, there were reports that Amala has been arrested in a tax evasion case. But, the actress did appear before the Economic Offences Wing to clarify a statement in the tax evasion case. She was just called to clarify.
