Andhra Pradesh State Film, Television and Theatre Development Corporation (APS-FTVTDC) has announced Nandi TV Awards for various serials, documentaries and features for the three consecutive years 2014, 2015 and 2016. Ommkaram Sashidhar’s Laddu won a total no. Of 4 Nandi Awards. Golden Nandi as producer and Copper Nandi as Director under Best TV Socially Relevant film, and also Best Graphics and Best Makeup artist categories.
Seshidhar expressed immense pleasure for receiving Nandis for his two consequent films Omkaram and Laddu under the same Best TV Film Category.
Young talent Ommkaram Sashidhar has carved out a marvellous love story ‘Laddu’ in an innovative way which deals with the love of an elderly man. He has given prominence to human relations and family values. Actor Ravi Varma played the lead role in the film. This young director Sashidhar, who hails from Kakinada, has produced the film under his own direction.
Sashidhar, who already won Nandi award for the film ‘Omkaram’, has bagged 24 awards in different categories at few international and national levels for the short film ‘Laddu’ with a tagline ‘A Sweet Memory’. The short film has won awards like TANA Telugu International Film Awards, Virgin Spring International Cinefest, International Cult Film Fest Kolkata and Varun Bajaj Short Film Awards. It has gained Best Script Award at 9 Film Fest which was held in Bangkok on December 18.
