Nithya Menon, who recently shined in ‘Geetha Govindam’, will be stepping into legendary actress Savitri’s shoes in the biopic on late actor and CM of united Andhra Pradesh Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao. Apparently, this petite beauty has joined the shooting and few scenes involving Balakrishna and Nithya are being shot presently.
Initially, the makers of ‘NTR’ biopic planned to cast Keerthy Suresh, who won allocated for her performance in the epic ‘Mahanati’, in the role of Savitri. But Keerthy could not do this role due to date issues. However, things didn’t fall in place and Nithya Menen has been roped in to play Savitri.
NTR’s son Nandamuri Balakrishna is playing his father, while Sumanth will be seen as Akkineni Nageswara Rao in the biopic, directed by Krish Jagarlamudi. Vidya Balan is playing the role of Basavatarakam and Rana will be seen as Nara Chandrababu Naidu.The shooting of the film is going on at a brisk pace in Hyderabad. Balakrishna, Sai Korrapati Ranganatha and Vishnu Induri are producing the film under NBK Films, Vaarahi Chalana Chitra and Vibri Media banners.
