Veteran actor, director and writer Devadas Kanakala has passed away today. He was undergoing treatment for age-related ailments and breathed his last at Kondapur KIMS hospital in Hyderabad.
Devadas Kanakala was also famous acting teacher. Many of today’s topmost actors are his students. He was born in Yanam and he began his career as actor in stage plays.
Rajeev Kanakal, who is popular character actor is his son. He also has a daughter named Sree Lakshmi. His daughter-in-law Suma is famous anchor.
He last appeared in Mahesh Babu’s ‘Bharat Ane Nenu’. His popular movies are ‘O Seetha Katha’, ‘Siri Sirimuvva’, ‘Gorintaku’ and ‘Gang Leader’.
