Vijay Devarakonda, who has been trolled for not making any donations amidst the crisis, has made two big announcements. The 'Arjun Reddy' actor said that he wasn't prepared, mentally or financially, for this crisis and he was not able to arrange money immediately as apart from his family, 35 employees are dependent on him. Through The Deverakonda Foundation (TDF), he is going to focus on 'immediate' and 'future' requirements of people, especially from middle class families. Deverakonda announced a fund of Rs.1.3 crore to help as many families as possible.

Firstly, Deverakonda said that he started TDF as a secret project in July, 2019 with the aim to create employment to as many as 1 lakh people during his lifetime and the first goal is to employ 50 people. ""Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime". I believe in it. If you help someone get a job, they will be more responsible, feed their families and inspire others. I wanted to keep TDF a secret. But due to the ongoing crisis, I am talking about it. We want to train those 50 people in whatever field they wanted to excel. We have already sent offer letters to 2 people and the remaining 48 people will get after the lock-down".

The second announcement is "The Deverakonda Foundation" is going to focus on the immediate requirements of the people during this lock-down. People in need of money can request TDF going to https://thedeverakondafoundation.org

"Deverakonda further requested everyone to ask money only if they really need as it would mean they can help the needy"
