Some stories need a lot of guts to be made into a film. One such gutsy outing is 'Nallamalla'. The film comes in the context of the 'Save Nallamalla' campaign that several progressivists and activists have been spearheading. This film brings out the bitter truth of what has happened to the pristine forests of the Nallamalla and what are the motives of those behind their destruction.
The story of the social drama revolves around a heroic man who wages a fight against sinister elements. "There have been several films themed on the exploitation of natural resources. But what our film does is to enlighten the audience in the layman's language," the makers say.
Based on true incidents, the film also has elements of love and emotion. Amit Tiwari, Bhanu Sri, Nasser, Tanikella Bharani, Ajay Ghosh, Kalakeya Prabhakar, Chatrapathi Sekhar, Chalaki Chanti, Mukku Avinash and others are part of the cast.
