Mukesh Chhabra, the director of 'Dil Bechara', has talked about how his friend, late Sushant Singh Rajput, had kept his promise and did a movie with him. 'Dil Bechara' is Sushant Singh Rajput's last movie and Mukesh's first movie as a director. It was Mukesh who casted Sushant Singh Rajput in 'Kai Po Che' and gave the 'MS Dhoni: The Untold Story' actor his first break.
Mukesh Chhabra says, "Sushant realized that I wanted to become a director and promised me that he would work with me whenever I decide to make it. Once I knew that I was making my first film, I wanted someone who understands me and who would stand by me no matter what besides being a great actor. I remembered Sushant's promise and when I approached him, he immediately said yes, without even reading the script. We always had this strong emotional connection. We used to have long discussions and he would help me improve the scenes".
'Dil Bechara', starring late Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi in the lead roles, will release on Disney+Hotstar on 24th July 2020. Oscar winner AR Rahman has composed the music.
