ZEE5 original, 'LOSER', starring Priyadarshi, Shashank, Kalpika Ganesh, Annie, Komalee Prasad, Pavani Gangireddy among others, has been successful. To celebrate the success, the team held a virtual press meet through a video call.
LOSER' is a sports drama, set between 1980 and 2000. It narrates the struggle of three players in their respective sport. Priyadarshi played a rifle shooter in it. Director Abhilash said that he knows the struggle in rifle shooting because of a friend of his and developed the script based on what he had seen. He added that he had completed the script in just three months with the help of Bharadwaj and Shravan.
Priyadarshi said that he was initially apprehensive to play the role of rifle shooter Suri but he has eventually pulled it off. He added that he was trained under Neelakanta in rifle shooting for 30 days. He felt happy that 'Loser' has been a success on ZEE5.
Shashank said that he was trained in bowling for three months to get the body language and behaviour of the character right. He had 8 kilos to play younger Wilson and put on 16 to 18 kilos for the older role.
Annie, who played Ruby and Kalpika Ganesh, who played the older version of Ruby have also expressed their happiness at the success of 'Loser'. Pavani Gangireddy, Komalee Prasad, music director Sriram, cinematographer Naresh, Annapurna Studios creative producer Mahesh, Executive Producer Chandra were among others who were part of the webinar.
