After being in news for helping several migrant workers from Hyderabad go back to their native places, Prakash Raj has now extended financial support to a female student from West Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh. Tigiripalli Siri Chandana, a Computer Science graduate, is now in a position to pursue a course at the University of Salford, Manchester City, UK, thanks to the 'Sarileru Neekevvaru' actor's help.
"Chandana recently got a seat at the University. Due to her poor financial background, she could not lay a step forward and was on the verge of giving up. This tale of Chandana reached Prakash Raj and he immediately came forward to support her. Keeping his word, the actor paid the tuition fee and living expenses of Chandana in the UK," a source says, adding that the beneficiary has personally called on the actor at his Hyderabad residence along with her mother and sister to thank him.
“My father passed away when I was 9 years old. Since then my mother has been taking care of my family. I have been wanting to pursue PG in information technology. But I can’t afford the overseas education and through a person, Prakash Raj sir came forward to help me. He took care of everything from college fee to my day-to-day expenses," the girl said.
Chandana’s mother, too, got emotional.
