'1948-Satyameva Jayate' is a message-oriented film being directed by MY Moorthy. Starring Alekhya Shetty, Raghunandan (as Gandhi), Aryavardhan Raju (as Godse), Jenny and others, the project has wrapped up its production works.
Coming to the subject of the film, it narrates the incidents that happened 45 days prior to the assassination of Gandhi in January 1948. "There is nothing controversial in our film. We have researched a trove of literature in making the film," the director says.
The writing department peered into thousands of research papers, hundreds of books and interviews in writing the film. "The film is about 96 characters, 114 scenes, 500 properties, and 9 schedules. We are making the film in Indian and international languages," the makers add.
Music is by 'Gulabi' fame Sashi Preetham. Cinematography is by Chandrasekhar. Story, screenplay and direction are by Aryavardhan Raju.
