Hanuman Chalisa, the powerful hymn dedicated to Lord Hanuman, has been a timeless work of devotion. Authored by poet Tulsidas in the Awadhi language in the 16th Century, it has been a household name over the centuries.
The news is that singer Rushika has rendered it as a rap with the aim of taking the Chalisa to the younger generation. "We haven't changed the lyrics or text. We took all images and location permissions used in filming the song," ITYA TV has said, unveiling it through Dialogue King and actor Sai Kumar.
"Padmaja Hospital & Skill Technologies have enlisted their help for some work related to the song. The song was filmed and released for the sole purpose of bringing Hanuman Chalisa closer to the people without any profit motive," they added.
The video features Rushika, who is also its director. Shot by Rudra Equipments, its director of photography and editor is Naveen Togiti.
