'Rape D', starring 'Ishtangaa' fame Arjun Mahi and 'Sekharam Gaari Abbayi' fame Vinnu Maddipaati as heroes, was launched on Saturday with a puja ceremony. Karunya Chowdhary, Maya Nelluri and Ameeksha have been roped in to play female leads.
Directed by Ravi Sharma, the web-series is a crime thriller. "We have started the regular shoot. Ravi Sharma has previously made films like 'Veedu Mamoolodu Kaadu' and 'Jhalak'," the producers said.
Executive Producer Sridevi added, "The current schedule will come to an end on September 22. The second schedule will be kickstarted in the third week of October. We are making it as a 15-episode web-series."
Duvvasi Mohan, Josh Ravi, Anupama Swathi, Sirisha are part of the cast. Story and dialogue are by Prakash Veda. Music is by Vikas Kurumilla. Cinematography is by Bhaskar Dronala. Editing is by Mahesh Kasarla.
