Rakul Preet Singh has on Thursday told the Delhi High Court that the media is violating her rights under Article 21 by "harassing" and "hounding" her in the drugs case. This is her first public utterance ever since national media reports started saying that Rhea Chakraborty had taken Rakul's name during an NCB interrogation.
Rakul wants the Delhi HC to direct the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting to stop the media from continuing with the campaign of "slander".
While Rakul has claimed that Rhea has retracted her statement, a few media reports have claimed that the NCB has confirmed that Rakul's name did surface in the interrogation.
Rakul wants a full-stop to the use of her "morphed pictures" by the media. "They are linking me to some sort of a drug gang. They are coming to my house. They are building up a narrative against me," Rakul said.
