Deepak Reddy-directed 'Manasanamaha' has been the most popular Telugu-language short film in recent times. It's also the most acclaimed one. Recently, the film entered the Oscars qualification race. Marking the achievement, producer Gajjala Shilpa today hosted an event.
"Since the release of the short film last year, it has so far bagged 900 international and regional awards. The voting for Manasanamaha's Oscars qualification will start from December 10," the producer said.
The short film has deployed the plot device of a reverse screenplay. "I hope our short film wins the Oscars voting on December 10. I will be working on a feature film soon," director Deepak said.
The short film is headlined by Viraj Ashwin, who said that he could fathom the director's vision only after watching the final output.
The makers mentioned that acclaimed Kollywood filmmaker Gautham Menon has released their product in Tamil and in Kannada, the producers of 'KGF' have done the honours.
Featuring Drishika Chander as the heroine, 'Manasanamaha' has music by Kamran and cinematography by Raj.
