In Sunday's episode of Bigg Boss Telugu 5, Green India Challenge made its presence felt. GIC's founder and Rajya Sabha MP Santosh Kumar appeared on the show and said that plans are afoot to plant as many as 16 crore saplings in his lifetime.
Thanks to the support of the producers of the reality show, the message of greenery was highlighted through the episode. The 'Bangarraju' actor sincerely urged millions of viewers to plant three saplings each every week before 2022 arrives. The senior actor further observed that Santosh Kumar has made planting saplings his daily routine for the last four to five years.
The 'Manmadhudu 2' actor motivated everyone to follow in the footsteps of the founder of the Green India Challenge. "It is our responsibility to contain global warming and to continue our existence on the Planet," the 'Wild Dog' actor added.
Santosh Kumar said that 'Radhe Shyam' star Prabhas has already adopted 1,643 acres, while entrepreneur Parthasarathy Reddy of Hetero Drugs has adopted another 2,500 acres of forest land.
