Well-known character artist Murali Sharma was recently awarded a honorary doctorate by the New Life Theological University. He has been conferred with the doctorate at an event today.
Receiving a degree from Doctor of Social Ministry, the 'Jathi Ratnalu' actor expressed his gratitude with humility.
It was with the 2002 Bollywood movie 'Dil Vil Pyar Vyar' that Murali Sharma had made his debut in movies. Since then he has acted in about 130 movies in multiple languages, especially Telugu and Hindi. The acclaimed character artist has movies in Tamil, Marathi and Malayalam as well.
He took years to debut in Telugu with the right kind of movie. 'Athidhi' in 2007 was his Tollywood debut in the Mahesh Babu movie.
