Indian Cybercrime Coordination Centre (I4C) is an initiative of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India to deal with cyber crime in the country in a coordinated and comprehensive manner. The news is that Rashmika Mandanna has become its new brand ambassador. The MHA wants to use her stardom to spread genuine, timely awareness about the threats posed by cybercriminals in the age of rampant digital penetration in the country.
Rashmika stated that she is looking forward to render services as the Ambassador. "A few months ago, a deepfake video of me was circulated on social media, which is a form of cybercrime. Following that incident, I made it my mission to raise awareness about cybercrime and combat these issues. Various tactics have been used to deceive us. So we must be vigilant and protect ourselves. It’s crucial to avoid falling victim to such scams. I will continue to educate everyone about cybercrime," she said.
I4C is the nodal point to curb Cybercrime in the country.
