Akshay Kumar's much-delayed 'Sooryavanshi' has confirmed its release date. The Rohit Shetty directorial will head to theatres for Diwali, in November. The announcement came moments after Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray allowed the re-opening of theatres from October 22.
The much-awaited flick, which was to release in March 2020, features Katrina Kaif as the female lead. It has cameo appearances by Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh.
Thanking the Maha CM, the lead man tweeted, "So many families would be thanking Sh Uddhav Thackeray today! Grateful for allowing the reopening of cinema halls in Maharashtra from Oct 22. Ab kisi ke roke na rukegi - AA RAHI HAI POLICE (sic)."
The Bollywood film will clash with 'Eternal', the Marvel film from Hollywood.
