Udhayanidhi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, is rumouredly going to be sworn in as a Minister in the Tamil Nadu government later this week. If that happens, it will be the case of a happening distributor and producer becoming a Minister.
Udhayanidhi is one of the most happening distributors and investors in Kollywood these days. Red Giant Movies, his production and distribution company, has revived 'Indian 2'. It recently distributed Mani Ratnam's magnum opus 'Ponniyin Selvan I'. Dhanush's 'Thiruchitrabalan' and 'Love Today' are among the distribution company's major hits of 2022.
What is more, Red Giant Movies is going to distribute the two major Pongal releases: Thalapathy Vijay's 'Vaarisu' and Ajith's 'Thunivu'. The company is also going to produce Mani Ratnam's film with Kamal Haasan in 2024.
Undoubtedly, Red Giants Movies will become the biggest player in the coming years if Udhayanidhi's political rise continues.
