Natural Star Nani's movie with debutant director Srikanth Odela was launched on Wednesday. Titled 'Dasara', the raw and gripping drama is produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas. The film will go on the floors from next month.
Keerthy Suresh, who has been in the news over 'Kalaavathi' (the first song from 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata'), is the heroine opposite the 'Ante Sundaraniki' actor. The project will be made on a luxuriant budget.
The launch event today was graced by star director Sukumar, 'Aadavaalu Meeku Johaarlu' director Kishore Tirumala, 'Virata Parvam' maker Venu Udugula and 'Ramarao On Duty' director Sarath Mandava.
The 'Shyam Singh Roy' actor is trying an action-heavy character in this film. "The story takes place in the backdrop of Singareni Coal Mines in Godavarikhani," the makers said.
'RRR' actor Samuthirakani, Sai Kumar (currently doing a web series titled 'Gaalivaana') and Zarina Wahab have important roles. Santhosh Narayanan (music) and Sathyan Sooryan (cinematography) are on board.
