Actor Nithiin's glorious second innings started with the release of 'Ishq' on this day (Feb 24) way back in 2012. Marking the 10th year of the rom-com, the team of the movie has got nostalgic.
Speaking about the film, the 'Rang De' actor said that the Vikram Kumar directorial gave him a rebirth as an actor. "It’s a very memorable film for me. 'Ishq' became a big hit because of four reasons: Writing, execution, PC Sreeram's visuals and the music," the 'Check' actor said.
The film had music by Anup Rubens and the Aravind-Shankar duo.
'Ishq' had the 'Bheeshma' actor romancing Nithya Menen, who is glad that the film was a musical hit. "Many still ask me to sing the 'Priya Priya' song extempore. I still remember singing the song and getting my first payment for my song from Anup," she said.
Director Vikram K Kumar had a fresh lease of cine career with the film. He said, “I couldn’t believe that the film has completed 10 years," he said, adding that the chemistry between the lead pair was phenomenal.
