After becoming a box-office hit, 'Bangarraju' has made a splashing run on ZEE5. Streaming since Feb 18, the film has clocked a giant figure.
'Bangarraju', starring Akkineni Nagarjuna, his son Naga Chaitanya, yesteryear star heroine Ramya Krishna, and 'Uppena' actress Krithi Shetty, has logged 500 million streaming minutes in 7 days, leaving Annapurna Studios and Zee Studios stunned.
The OTT success has gladdened Nag, who said that he was advised against producing the film during the pandemic. In keeping with the Sankranthi sentiment of 'Soggade Chinni Nayana', he wanted to release 'Bangarraju' only for Sankranthi.
"What makes us glad is that the movie has become a bigger hit than we had expected. 'Bangarraju' has been receiving immense love on OTT. In 7 days, the film has garnered 500 million streaming minutes, setting a new record," Nag today said.
The film has music by Anup Rubens.
