The Sushant Singh Rajput-related drugs case has reached a new turn today. The NCB, India's highest anti-drugs agency, named Rhea Chakraborty in its charge sheet, saying that she procured contraband for Sushant.
While the NCB hasn't described Rhea as Sushant's girlfriend, the charge sheet does say that she resorted to abetting his extreme drug addiction.
Reporting on the same, journalist Arvind Gunasekhar tweeted, “Rhea Chakroborty received many deliveries of ganja and handed over to the late Bollywood actor and made payments for those deliveries at the instance of both him and Showik (Rhea's brother) during the period between March and September 2020."
As per Jan Ki Baat, all accused (35 individuals), as per the NCB, entered into a criminal conspiracy with each other to procure, purchase, sell and distribute drugs in high society and Bollywood."
The trial will be a long affair. If at all the actress gets convicted, she might be sentenced to a 10-year jail term in the worst scenario.
