In an incident that has shocked many, an aspiring actor has been arrested by the Mumbai Police for giving death threats to Bollywood star Katrina Kaif and her husband Vicky Kaushal. Named Manvinder Singh, he has been a huge fan of Katrina. As reported by national media, Singh has been wanting to marry the 'Malleswari' actress. He has been stalking her on social media, sending morphed pictures and video clips to her. This put off the couple, who approached the police.
The accused is facing complaints under Sections 506(2) (criminal intimidation) and 354(D) (stalking) of the IPC.
