An event was held in Warangal on Sunday ahead of the theatrical release of the film 'Virata Parvam'. The June 17th release is directed by Venu Udugula.

Speaking on the occasion, actor Rana Daggubati described 'VP' as visual poetry. He added that the film, whose music is by Suresh Bobbili, has been made for the ponderous audience member who reflects on what is being shown on the big screen sitting amid people who cheer and clap. "Director Venu believes that everything and anything in Telangana brims with poetry. I want your love for the film," Rana added.

Sai Pallavi said, "Warangal feels like my second home. 'VP' is an honest and sincere film. I thank director Venu for casting me as Vennela. Every one of us worked really hard to give you the best."

Venu Udugula started his speech by making poetic references to Orugallu aka Warangal. He also spoke in the language of revolutionary Marxism on the occasion (given Rana, Sai Pallavi and other key characters are Maoists in the film). Besides mentioning the performances by the lead pair, the director also spoke of Naveen Chandra, Nandita Das, Priyamani, and Zareena Wahab, all of whom have got pivotal roles.

Naveen Chandra called Rana a great person, besides saying that he is an actor who pronounces every word perfectly. The 'Aravindha Sametha' actor was all praise for Sai Pallavi's talent as well.
