Usually, debutant actors like to play heroic roles. But Kalyan Dasari, the son of 'RRR' producer DVV Danayya, has gone several steps ahead. He is playing a superhero in his maiden venture.
Titled 'Adhira', the film's introduction teaser (named 'First Strike') was unveiled today at the hands of SS Rajamouli, Jr NTR and Ram Charan. Kalyan Dasari's face is not seen but we get the impression that the new actor is playing a striking role, literally.
Danayya has entrusted the task of launching his son on a pan-India level to 'AWE' and 'Zombie Reddy' fame director Prasanth Varma. The talented filmmaker has already handled a superhero movie - 'Hanu-Man', which is yet to be released. After casting Teja Sajja as a superhero, Varma is now casting Kalyan as a superhero.
"This one is going to be an extravagant movie where Kalyan will be seen in a physically challenging role," the makers hinted today. 'Adhira' is going to feature Hollywoodian visuals, they added. The teaser has the hero wielding a Vajrayudham, and it is because the film is inspired by Indian mythological strands.
The film will be released in five languages, mainly Telugu and Hindi.
