Remember Mumtaz who shot to fame with the year 2000 blockbuster 'Kushi'? She came to be seen as a sexy siren owing to the suggestive role she played opposite Pawan Kalyan. Prominently a Kollywood actor, she didn't do many Telugu films later despite the fame afforded to her by 'Kushi'. In the 2010s, she made a guest appearance in 'Attarintiki Daredi' in a song. And then, she was also seen in Mahesh Babu's 'Aagadu' in a semi-comical role.
The actress, who is in her 40s, is in the news because her maid Mutkin has reportedly lodged a complaint against her. As per the maid, Mumtaz is guilty of not letting her and her sister travel to their hometown on a break. Mumtaz has been accused by the two girls of not letting them go on a holiday.
Presenting, the Anna Nagar police in Chennai are looking into the complaint. The Child Welfare Committee is seized of the matter, reports today said.
