It's known that Nayanthara and her hubby Vignesh Shivan are now parents to twin boys. The news was shared by the latter on Sunday evening, much to everyone's surprise. They have been married only since April and there have been no reports of Nayan bearing the baby bump. It has been concluded by the media that the couple opted for surrogacy.
Yesteryear actress Kasturi Shankar tweeted on the same day that surrogacy is banned in India except for medically inevitable reasons. "This is the law from January 2022. We are going to be hearing a lot about this for the next several days," she tweeted. Many presumed that Kasturi was indirectly referring to Nayanthara's case but the fact is that she never took the 'Sye Raa' actress' name in her tweets.
When trolls asked her to mind her business, Kasturi reminded them that she is qualified to be a lawyer. There seems to be zero connection between her comments and the 'GodFather' actress' personal choice.
Kasturi also said that her comments can't be maliciously linked to Nayanthara's surrogacy. "Any media maliciously publishing articles linking new parents Nayantara and Vignesh Shivan to my post about surrogacy in India will be sued for libel. Consider yourself warned," the actress wrote.
