When 'Ante Sundaraniki' was released in theatres in June, it became a box office dud. Even though it grossed more than one million dollars in the US, the film was a big flop in the Telugu States.
It was presumed that the film would do well on TV when it gets premiered. But the performance of the family comedy-drama on TV is an even bigger shocker.
As per the latest reports, the Nani-starrer could amass a TRP of 1.88 for urban market and 1.68 for urban+rural market on Gemini TV. Even disastrous Nani films like 'Krishnarjuna Yuddham' and the unbearable 'V' had got much bigger numbers.
Directed by Vivek Athreya, 'Ante Sundaraniki' featured Nazriya Fahadh as the heroine. In the end, only the Telugu audience in the US seem to have taken note the film's existence.
