This Diwali (October 21), quite a few movie releases are happening: 'Ori Devuda', 'Sardar', 'Prince' and 'Ginna'. Of these, the one film Chiru's fans must watch first thing is 'Ginna'.
The film, starring Manchu Vishnu as the leading man, has the story and screenplay penned by Kona Venkat. Kona, now, is also one of the screenplay writers of Mega154, the film Chiru's fans hope will roar at the box office more than 'GodFather'.
'Ginna' has been written by Kona with passion. "I saw it as a responsibility from day one to make it a splashing start of Manchu Vishnu's second innings," Kona said yesterday at Ginna's pre-release event. The words show that Kona has put in everything that he could to make 'Ginna' another hit like 'Dhee'.
If Ginna's comedy and screenplay are good, we can conclude that Kona is in form. And the same form, hopefully, will be on display in Mega154. Chiru's belief in Kona will also get some validation, perhaps, especially after a disaster like 'Nishabdham' for which Kona wrote the screenplay and dialogues. Kona's 'Abhinetri' and 'Dictator' were also poor in terms of writing. Let's hope 'Ginna' and Mega154 are going to be entertaining.
