'Sardar' has become a Diwali winner at the Tamil Nadu box-office. In Telugu, too, the spy action thriller is minting good numbers.
The news is that a sequel to 'Sardar' has been made official less than five days after its theatrical release. 'Sardar 2' is its title and director PS Mithran is seemingly ready with a storyline.
'Sardar 2' was made official at a success event of 'Sardar' in Chennai on Tuesday night. The sequel is going to be made on a richer scale. The key technicians (both music director and cinematographer) will be retained, while the theme of the corporatization of our lives will also be held onto.
The film's story takes off with Inspector Vijayaprakash (Karthi) taking on a RAW assignment and moving to Cambodia.
'Sardar' has grossed more than Rs 45 Cr worldwide since its theatrical release on October 21.
