Recently, Nithiin called on BJP National President JP Nadda during the latter's visit to Hyderabad. A theory has been floated that the BJP leader's intention was to have a meeting with Nikhil Siddhartha and not Nithiin.
As per this presumptuous theory, the BJP leadership in Delhi showed interest in Nikhil after 'Karthikeya 2', which has been seen by many political Hindus as the right sort of film. The Delhi-based leadership asked Telangana's BJP leaders to contact Nikhil. But the local leaders purportedly got confused and contacted Nithiin.
This theory is laughable, to say the least. After the 'Macherla Niyojakavargam' actor's meeting, JP Nadda categorically tweeted that he had discussed political issues with the actor. Had it been a matter of confusion, he wouldn't have mentioned the word 'political' by any measure. The meeting would have been played down and described as a purely non-political one.
Political topics don't get discussed between the President of a national party and an actor just like that. Local leaders would have advised their leader on talking points. And the talking points are pitched after some basic research. For all this, homework has to be done. This homework ensures that mixing up the identities of two actors is ruled out at the earliest.
