Kuchipudi Venkat is a renowned Restaurenter-Chef based in Hyderabad. The former filmmaker recently started a restaurant named Maredumilli in Hyderabad- Gachibowli. If you are wondering why it has been named after a jungle, it's because the theme is modelled after a forest.
Venkat is happy to announce that a first-of-its-kind pub named Telugu Pub has been created at the restaurant to cater to the unique tastes of its patrons. DJ Apparao, who plays Telugu-language chartbusters, has been brought in as a fictional character. The idea is to move beyond Western music and deliver foot-tapping Telugu songs instead. The pub has come up on a separate floor so that the visitors of the restaurant are not inconvenienced.
Also, for the first time in the world, a Telugu-ised beer cocktail named Beertail, which comes in Telugu flavours, has been served at the restaurant.
Inaugurating the Telugu Pub, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma said that both Beertail and DJ Apparao are unique. He hoped that they will surely click with the patrons.
Those wishing to have weekend fun (on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays) can go for it.
Venkat, who is also a filmmaker by passion, is working on a satirical film that is about people's inclination to waste others' time. Kuchipudi Palav, a franchise, will also be opened soon.
