On Saturday, Chiranjeevi gave a heartfelt speech at the success event of 'Waltair Veerayya'. The actor said that the movie, by grossing Rs 250 Cr since its release on January 13, has become the biggest non-SS Rajamouli hit in the history of the Telugu film industry.
The 'Acharya' actor profusely thanked the audience. He also attributed the success to director Bobby Kolli's passion. In his speech, the 'Bholaa Shankar' star lauded everyone from the music director (Devi Sri Prasad), Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, cinematographer Arthur A Wilson, and others to choreographer Sekhar VJ and fight masters (Ram-Laxman duo and Peter Hein).
Chiru said that 'WV' has reminded the audience of his old hits like 'Gang Leader'.
Ram Charan attended the event as the chief guest. In his speech, the 'RRR' actor said that he was awed by Ravi Teja's performance in the movie. The RC15 star said that he was there at the event as a fan of Chiranjeevi, not as a guest.
Mythri Movie Makers were in for high praise from the father-son duo. Charan said that they are exemplary producers. "A couple of producers need to really learn a great deal from them," the Mega Power Star added.
