'SPY' has been described as a national thriller. The film, starring Nikhil Siddhartha as the hero, traces the whereabouts of Subhas Chandra Bose after his mysterious disappearance in 1945. The June 29th theatrical release has set out with its musical promotions.
The first song, titled 'Jhoom Jhoom', dropped on Sunday. Shot on Nikhil and Iswarya Menon, the love song is set to tune by Vishal Chandrashekar, who is joined by singers Anurag Kulkarni and Ramya Behera.
At more than four minutes, the song is longer than most songs these days, underscoring the confidence of director Garry BH in the importance of establishing strong chemistry between the lead pair even in a true-blue spy thriller.
Action choreography by Lee Whitaker of 'Saaho' fame and Robert Leannen will be a highlight, as brought out by the film's recently-released teaser. Senior Bollywood artist Makrand Deshpande, yesteryear hero Aryan Rajesh, comedian Abhinav Gomatam, Ishwarya Menon and Sanya Thakur have key roles.
