Kannada character artist Devraj (seen in Telugu movies like 'SP Parasuram', 'Samarasimha Reddy' and 'Bharat Ane Nenu') is proud that his son Pranam Devraj is all set to make a Telugu debut soon. 'Vairam' is the title of his Telugu-Kannada bilingual release, whose teaser launch event was held in Hyderabad on Friday.
Directed by Sai Shivan Jampana, the film is an actioner bankrolled by Shri Bhramarambika Sametha Mallikarjuna Swamy Picture and Sanskriti Productions along with Sartak Pictures.
Devraj was in Hyderabad to support his son and also seek the audience's blessings for his newcomer in Telugu. "I liked the story of 'Vairam' as narrated by the director. The Kannada version's teaser is already a hit," he said.
Producer J Mallikarjuna described Pranam's performance as superb. On his part, the film's director said that he is happy to launch Pranam in Telugu. The young hero has previously done 'Kumari 21F' in Kannada.
Speaking on the occasion, Pranam attributed his growing career to his parents' support.
Actor Vinnu Maddipati, who has a role in the movie, described 'Vairam' as a high-voltage movie. "'Vairam' is the fruit of several hardships. Director Sai possesses the qualities of a great director," he added.
The film also features Monal (heroine), Garuda Ram (aka Ramachandra Raju of 'KGF' fame), Kashi Viswanath, Shatru, Chammak Chandra, and Bhadram. Mahati Swara Sagar of 'Chalo' fame is composing the music.
